It’s back!
What: Come watch local fly tyers demonstrate a variety of ties, buy some needed gear, or just hang out with your people.
When: Saturday November 7, 2026, 10 am – 3 pm
Where: New Mexico Veterans Memorial, 1100 Louisiana Blvd. SE, Albuquerque NM 87108 [location]
Cost: Before the day of the event; Members $10, non-members $20. At the door the day of the event $20.
Garage sale
The garage sale will open promptly at 10 am. We have names such as Sage, G Loomis, Orvis, Simms, and Cabela’s. Items such rods, reels, rod and reel combos, wading boots, waders, apparel, nets, fly tying accessories, and much more. We even have some regular casting and spin casting equipment for cheap!

Fly Tying Symposium
Fly tying demonstrations will start at 11 am. We have some of our club’s best tyers as well as some local tying celebrities! See flies for the San Juan, Norm Maktima’s personal favorites, warm water flies, lake flies, and much more. If you don’t come away from this day with some fresh ideas and really cool patterns to try out, then you weren’t paying attention.
Sessions – 6 half-hour sessions, with a lunch break.
