COVID-19 update 9/15/2021
Meetings are modified as follows:

General meetings – Fall 2021 meetings are scheduled for in-person at Rio Bravo Brewing. For details, members will get an invitation through Constant Contact, and it should also be posted on our Facebook page. Attendees should be fully vaccinated prior to attending.

Fly-tiers round table – occasional via Zoom. Contact Rick Luitich or check our Facebook page for details.

Board meeting – Board meeting by Zoom, first Thursday of each month. All are welcome to attend. Check our calendar for details.

New Mexico Trout has the following regular scheduled meetings. All are invited, member or not.

  • Conclave – all day on a Saturday in late winter (see separate page for details)
  • General membership meeting – second Tuesday of each month except for the summer, December and our Conclave month
  • Fly-tiers roundtable – regular meetings are on hold for now. Members will get an email announcement.
  • Board meeting – first Thursday of the month

General meetings

New Mexico Trout meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm, except for the months of June, July, August, December and our conclave month. All members and visitors are welcome!

Fall 2021 meetings will be held in the Barrel Room at Rio Bravo Brewing, 1912 2nd Street NW. Parking is off Haines Street on the south side of the brewery. Happy hour ends at 6:00 pm, so come early and grab a happy hour beer, order dinner, and stay for the meeting. They will bring your food order to the Barrel Room. Specific dates, topics, locations and notes will be announced in separate posts.

Fly-tiers roundtable

The Fly-tiers’s Roundtable brings new and experienced tyers together to exchange ideas, techniques and materials. Bring your gear or just come to watch and chat.

Regular meetings are once a month and virtual until things settle down. But they will be …
• Tuesdays at 7:00pm – excluding holidays and NM Trout General Meeting dates
• Note that the 3rd Tuesday of each month is reserved for facilitated fly-tying lessons

Board meetings

The New Mexico Trout board meets the first Thursday of the month at 6:00 pm. The location will be announced before each meeting. All members are welcome to attend.
