Women on the Water – February update

by Mary Rosel, Women’s Activities Chair

We are still in our Winter season but Spring is around the corner.  The wonderful part about living in this beautiful Land of Enchantment is the many beautiful sunny days.  Those days provide opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities and even fish!  Fishing in winter can be a lot of fun.

Women on the Water met on January 28th and had a successful planning session.  It was a great turnout.  We worked on putting into place some activities for 2021, keeping in mind the pandemic.  The group agreed to have some general requirements when participating to ensure everyone’s safety.  We are also in the process of putting together some small, frequent outings, weather permitting, for those interested.  Additionally, we are working on a fly fishing casting clinic for some time in May, so stay tuned!

Don’t forget to mark your calendars to attend the NM Trout General Meeting on Zoom on February 9th at 7:00 p.m.  Laura Eberhardt will be speaking (@flyfishinggrrl).  Look her up, she is awesome!

Join us for our next WOW meeting on Zoom, set for February 25th. Be a part of this growing group of fly fishing women.  Feel free to bring your input to help drive our awesome future.

Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or want more information.
