Fish monitoring survey – volunteers needed
The fishery biologists are starting their FALL fish monitoring surveys. They have asked NMT to help with seven (7) surveys. The surveys are part of a multi year study to monitor the health, numbers and types of fish in the Caldera.
Lake Fishing Clinic – September 27 at Hopewell Lake
New Mexico Trout is offering its first Lake Fly-Fishing Clinic on Saturday, September 27th at Hopewell Lake. The clinic is open to members of New Mexico Trout only.

A Beaver Deceiver on the Rio Cebolla
Engineers with the Santa Fe National Forest have been concerned about flooding due to a beaver dam on the Rio Cebolla. On June 20th, about twenty SFNF staff and volunteers from New Mexico Trout and Trout Unlimited met to construct a pond leveler (also called a beaver deceiver).
